February 2015

It’s been a remarkably busy last couple of weeks at the chapel, especially considering that we are still officially closed!

Sara and George were married on Saturday January 31st in what was a lovely ceremony. The chapel was full of Sara and George’s family and friends and we all shared in their beautifully meaningful ceremony. Sara came in to Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ and we had some lovely readings and some splendid singing from Rob whilst the register was being signed.

After the ceremony, we enjoyed a ‘Dad’s Army’ themed reception.

Everybody at The Chapel wishes Sara and George all happiness for the future.

Only a week later, Sara and George were back at the chapel helping to decorate! We decided that after the English Heritage works, the hall could do with freshening up so between Friday evening and Sunday lunchtime, combinations of Sara, George, Dawn, Duncan and Stuart pitched in with paintbrushes and rollers to get the place looking shiny again.

On the point of decorating, February 16th sees the chapel area itself undergoing a face lift. We are repainting the walls and undertaking various other tasks so that we are at our best for the re-opening in April.

Finally, We welcomed Pip Yoga to The Chapel last week. Pip will run two classes every Thursday evening and you can find out more here.
