Unitarians and Sunday Services

The Chapel Unitarian

Chapel May 15 021

The local Unitarian congregation are based at the Chapel. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 10.30 am.

Unitarians hold a faith based upon individual freedom of thought and they worship in response to the inner stirrings of human spiritual yearning; as such, they hold no creed and instead adopt a set of principles that point to inclusive and open minded approaches to all aspects of religion and spiritual outlooks.

The Billingshurst congregation is made up of people who hold different emphases in their faith directions: liberal Christianity, Western Buddhist and Religious Humanist to name but a few. Held in common is the inward and outward journey that each member is on and which each share in a spirit of community, contemplation, compassion and creativity.
